A few years ago it was all a dream.
A few months ago it was just a naive opportunity.
A few hours ago I could feel the rush.
And now the dream is coming true.
Here I am in Nice airport, people! It’s 5.53am and I already woke up close to two hours ago. I’m using the airport WiFi to check my social networks as I would any day. But this isn’t any day. In 4 hours I’ll be on the magic A380, getting ready to fly to the city that has inspired so many dreams and hopes, the city by the bay, San Francisco.
When I look back on the last (and only) time I was there I remember two things: I swore to myself to go back for a work opportunity, and I know that a lot of time has passed and a lot of things happened. High School education was never the climax of my time home, and it has threatened my studies in Multimedia several times. My parent’s managed to have me doubt whether I could:
a) be graduation and
b) get the necessary grades to be accepted in Brighton University. But as any good story, it all turned up just fine.
Now it’s nearly time to get on board of the first (and ridiculously small —as opposed to the upcoming 11h trip) flight. I will keep using this place to describe and document my experience as much as I can. I hope you’ll stay by and read it. But in case you don’t, and decide to stop at some point, I just want to let you know that I don’t care. I’m doing this for me and my close friends and family before anything. I’m doing this because it’s a passion, just like new technologies, oversharing on social networks, and being absolutely obsessed with music.
« Don’t hate the player, hate the game », they say. Well, I’m not asking you to hate, but if you read this and decide that you don’t like what you read, don’t be a stupid hater and leave trash comments. First of all I’ll most likely delete it if it’s accompanied by some argumentation on why it is all so bad, and secondly you’d be better off just not coming on this blog. If you like what you read, however, if you feel like you can identify to the path and steps I’m going through, if you are interested in this trip, or in my activities, thank you very much for reading this. In itself I see it as a moral support, even though I may not know you.
So long, reader. I’ll be back soon... Probably tomorrow!
BTW, the pictures below are from our beautiful airport in Nice, French Riviera!
